Unique Product Aspects: 

  • Proudly crafted in the United States of America with recycled precious metals, conflict free diamonds, fair trade gemstones and organic material.
  • Yogo Sapphires: A variety of corundum found only in Yogo Gulch Montana. This area is part of the Little Belt Mountains in Judith Basin County.
  • Organic Component: The featured design element of this piece is harvested from Ecuadorian ivory palms by a fair trade compliant organization which benefits local people and their economy.  Called Tagua; this seed/nut is indigenous within southern Panama along the Andes to Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia, northwestern Brazil, and Peru.  Commonly known as vegetable ivory or palm ivory; the scientific name (Phytelephas) means "plant elephant" and is a botanical alternative to elephant ivory.  Mature seeds are harder than wood and can be polished and carved like ivory.  The palms can reach a height of 65 feet (20 meters).  Covered with a flaky brown skin, the kernel measures approximately 1.5-3.0 inches (4-8cm) in diameter. 
  • Fabrication: Once a suitable seed is chosen, segmentation occurs in a specific direction to yield a generous surface area that is free of cracks or gaps.  Following several fashioning steps and without the use of any bindings such as glues or other epoxies, the seed is adhered to a fabricated metal component.  This process is the most challenging.  
  • Serialized with unique identifying characteristics for authenticity.
